Delhi Airport (IGI) Lounge Guide 2026: Which Credit Card Gets You In?

Indira Gandhi International Airport is India's busiest airport — and its T3 terminal has the largest concentration of airport lounges in the country. Priority Pass works here, and unlike Adani-operated airports, DragonPass access at Delhi follows different rules. This guide maps every lounge at T1 and T3, the access network for each, and which cards get you in — based on official sources as of July 2026.

What Changed in 2025–2026 at Delhi Airport

Several major access-program changes swept Indian airports between 2025 and 2026. Here is what applies at IGI and what does not.

✓ DEL is not an Adani airport — different rules apply IGI is operated by DIAL (Delhi International Airport Limited), a consortium led by GMR Group. The DragonPass termination that took effect May 15, 2025, applied only to Adani Airport Holdings-operated airports — Mumbai CSMIA, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Mangaluru, Guwahati, and Thiruvananthapuram. Delhi was not in that list. DragonPass access at individual IGI lounges should still be verified in your app, as lounge-level policies can differ.
⚠ DreamFolks — Exited domestic lounge market Sept 16, 2025 DreamFolks stopped all domestic airport lounge access across India on September 16, 2025. Most banks have migrated to Priority Pass, Collinson, or their own direct agreements. If your card's benefits page still mentions DreamFolks, call your bank to confirm the current access network before your next flight.

Several major cards also changed their domestic lounge benefit in this period:

T1 vs T3 — Know Your Terminal Before You Go

⚠ T1 and T3 are separate buildings — no airside connection T1 and T3 at IGI are physically separate terminals with no airside link. SpiceJet and some Air India Express flights use T1. Almost every other domestic and all international carriers use T3. If you go to the wrong terminal, you will need to exit, take a cab or shuttle, and re-enter — which can cost you your lounge time and your flight.

Common Mistakes to Avoid at IGI Delhi

1
Going to T1 when your flight is at T3

T1 and T3 are separate buildings — a 20–30 minute road journey apart. Confirm your terminal in your airline app at check-in, not from memory. SpiceJet uses T1; IndiGo, Air India, Vistara use T3.

2
Expecting Priority Pass to work at the Maharaja Lounge

The Air India Maharaja Lounge at T3 International is restricted to Air India business class passengers and Diners Club cardholders. General Priority Pass cards are not accepted here, regardless of your card tier.

3
Not claiming your spend voucher before flying

Cards like Tata Neu Infinity require you to claim a lounge access voucher after hitting the spend threshold. It does not activate automatically. Claim it in the HDFC portal and use it within 180 days.

4
Arriving late for international lounges

T3 International lounges are airside and post-immigration. IGI immigration queues can run 30–60 minutes on busy evenings. Factor this in — leave time for immigration, security, and the lounge before boarding starts.

5
Assuming lounge access works on weekends without verifying

Some cards cap the total number of guests or restrict access during peak travel days. Check your card's terms for guest charges (typically ₹2,000–₹3,500 per guest) and any daily or quarterly caps on visits.

6
Missing the DreamFolks exit

DreamFolks exited the domestic lounge market on September 16, 2025. If your card previously accessed lounges via DreamFolks, that route no longer works. Call your bank to find out the current access network for your card.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Priority Pass work at Delhi airport in 2026?
Yes. Priority Pass is accepted at multiple lounges at IGI across T1 and T3. Confirmed at Plaza Premium T3 domestic and international, Encalm T3, TGI Lounge T1 and T3. The Maharaja Lounge at T3 International is not open to Priority Pass — it requires Air India business class or Diners Club access. Always verify the specific lounge in the Priority Pass app before travel.
Can I access the Maharaja Lounge at Delhi airport with a credit card?
Yes, but only with specific cards. The Air India Maharaja Lounge at T3 International is accessible to Air India business class passengers and Diners Club cardholders. HDFC Diners Black cardholders can access it via the Diners Club network. General Priority Pass cards — including those from HDFC Infinia — are not accepted at the Maharaja Lounge. Verify access via the HDFC Bank portal or Diners Club before travel.
Does DragonPass work at Delhi airport in 2026?
IGI is operated by DIAL (GMR Group) — not Adani. The DragonPass termination in May 2025 applied only to Adani Airport Holdings airports. DragonPass access at Delhi depends on individual lounge policies rather than a blanket termination. Verify in the DragonPass app or check with the specific lounge before travel.
Which terminal at Delhi airport has the best lounges?
T3 has far more and better lounge options than T1. T3 hosts Plaza Premium (domestic and international), Encalm, TGI, Air India Lounge, Maharaja Lounge, and Star Alliance Lounge. T1 only has 1–2 lounge options. Most major airlines including IndiGo, Air India, and all international carriers use T3, so the majority of flyers will have access to the full T3 lounge selection.
What is the best credit card for lounge access at IGI Delhi in 2026?
For unlimited access at T3 with no spend condition: HDFC Infinia (Priority Pass, domestic and international). For Maharaja Lounge access specifically: HDFC Diners Black (Diners Club network). For a lifetime-free option: IDFC FIRST Wealth (2+2 visits per quarter, ₹20K/month spend) or Scapia (unlimited domestic, ₹20K/month). For the lowest-cost entry: Kiwi RuPay Neon (3 domestic visits/year at ₹999+GST). All available on DigiKard.
Can Kiwi card holders use Delhi airport lounges?
Yes. Kiwi RuPay Neon gives up to 3 domestic lounge visits per year through the Collinson network, unlocked at cumulative spend milestones (₹50K, ₹1L, and ₹1.5L). Collinson-network lounges at IGI should be verified in the Kiwi app before travel. Visits must be booked in advance through the Kiwi app — walk-in is not guaranteed.
