Mumbai Airport Lounge Guide 2026: Which Credit Card Actually Gets You In?

Mumbai Airport (CSMIA) Lounge Guide 2026: Which Credit Card Actually Gets You In?

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport handles over 50 million passengers a year, making it one of the busiest airports in India. Before your next flight from BOM, this guide covers every lounge across T1 and T2, how to access them with your credit card, and the rule changes that caught frequent flyers off guard in 2025.

The 2025 Changes You Need to Know

Two big shifts changed lounge access across India in 2025 — and Mumbai was no exception.

DreamFolks shut down in September 2025. Several mid-range cards used DreamFolks as their lounge access network. If your card mentioned DreamFolks, check your bank's updated terms. Many issuers have either shifted to DragonPass, Collinson, or Priority Pass — or removed lounge benefits entirely.

DragonPass launched at Adani-operated terminals in November 2025. CSMIA's T2 is an Adani-operated terminal. This means cards on the DragonPass network now work at T2 lounges — a significant expansion. Cards like HDFC Regalia Gold and certain co-branded cards shifted to DragonPass access during this period.

Tata Neu Infinity changed its domestic access model in June 2025. Previously per-visit, domestic lounge access is now linked to quarterly spend milestones. The international component remains the same.

The 8 Lounges at Mumbai Airport — Rated

T2 International Departures

#### GVK Lounge (Adani CSMIA T2) — ★★★★☆

The flagship lounge at T2 is a spacious, well-maintained space past security on the international departures level. Hot buffet, à la carte ordering, a full bar, showers, nap pods, and fast Wi-Fi. One of the better airport lounges in India. Access: Priority Pass, DragonPass, Collinson.

#### The Limousine Lounge (T2 International) — ★★★★★

The premium lounge at CSMIA, available to HDFC Infinia, Diners Black, and select airline cardholders. Fewer guests, superior service, proper cocktail bar, and warm food made to order. No Priority Pass entry — invitation-only through specific cards and airline programs.

#### Air India Maharaja Lounge (T2) — ★★★★☆

Accessible to Air India business class passengers and Star Alliance Gold members. Walk-in access available to Diners Club members. Solid food spread, comfortable seating, and notably less crowded than the GVK lounge. Not open to general Priority Pass holders.

#### Adani West Wing Lounge (T2 International) — ★★★☆☆

A newer, smaller lounge in the West Wing of T2. Less discovered than GVK — which means shorter queues. Basic snacks and beverages, adequate seating. Access via DragonPass and Priority Pass. Good backup option during peak hours when GVK fills up.

T2 Domestic Departures

#### Plaza Premium Lounge (T2 Domestic) — ★★★★☆

Well-regarded for a domestic lounge: hot food, a comfortable seating area, and consistent service. Access via Priority Pass, DragonPass, and most major premium cards. Busiest on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

#### TFS Lounge — T2 Domestic — ★★★☆☆

A compact lounge on the domestic side. Adequate for a short wait — snacks, beverages, and working space. Accepts Priority Pass, DragonPass, and Collinson. Not ideal for long layovers.

T1 (IndiGo / SpiceJet Domestic)

#### Encalm Lounge (T1) — ★★★☆☆

T1 handles mostly LCC domestic traffic. The Encalm Lounge is the primary option here — functional, with a decent food spread and reliable Wi-Fi. Access via Priority Pass and DragonPass. Note: T1 is a separate terminal; confirm your departure terminal before heading here.

#### TFS Lounge — T1 — ★★☆☆☆

A basic holding lounge at T1. Works as a quiet spot to sit, charge devices, and grab a quick bite. Limited food variety. Access via Priority Pass and DragonPass. Rated lower for ambience and food quality compared to other options.

*Tata Neu Infinity domestic access changes in June 2025: per-visit access replaced with quarterly spend milestones. Each completed milestone unlocks a lounge pass valid for 6 months. International access unaffected.

Kiwi RuPay (Neon): membership is ₹999+GST/year. Lounge passes unlock at cumulative spend milestones (₹50K, ₹1L, ₹1.5L). Each pass is valid for 6 months and booked through the Kiwi app. Access via Collinson network.

How to Access a Lounge — The Practical Checklist

Before you walk up to the lounge reception, confirm these:

  • Check access mode: does your card use Priority Pass (a separate physical/digital card), DragonPass (usually in your bank's app), or Collinson (sometimes in a partner app like Kiwi)? You may need to download a separate app.
  • Confirm guest fees: bringing someone with you typically costs ₹2,000–₹3,500 per guest unless your card includes complimentary guests.
  • Check your visit count: most cards track calendar-year visits. If you've already used 6 of 8 allowed visits, you'll pay walk-in rates for the next entry.
  • Arrive with time: most lounges require you to be through security before entry. Budget 15–20 minutes beyond standard security time.
  • Kiwi app users: book your lounge slot in advance through the app — walk-in without prior booking may not be accepted at all Collinson-network lounges.

Which Card Should You Get for Lounge Access?

If lounge access is your primary reason for getting a credit card, here's the honest answer:

Best all-round: HDFC Infinia or Diners Black — unlimited domestic and international access, Priority Pass included, and no per-visit fee. Requires higher income eligibility (typically ₹3L/month or above).

Best mid-range: HDFC Regalia Gold — 6 domestic + 6 international visits per year, annual fee waived on spend, DragonPass access at CSMIA T2 is solid post-November 2025.

Best budget option: Kiwi RuPay (Neon) at ₹999+GST/year. Three domestic visits unlocked through spend milestones. Works via Collinson at most major airports. Not suitable if you fly frequently.

Not recommended for lounge access: If lounge access is your goal, avoid cards that don't list a specific access network — several mid-range cards lost DreamFolks access in 2025 and haven't offered a clear replacement.
